Somewhere ElseTrapped between conformity to social norms and desire to live according to one’s own dreams, the soul yearns to escape to somewhere else.
My work is stepped on the interplay between the conformity of its female protagonist to social norms and definitions of what is right and wrong, and her desire to live her life the way she wishes. Along body language, I employ, props such as frames, flowers, and bridal-like clothing, to accentuate her struggle against commonly accepted social standards and her incessant hope for leading a life outside the box, according to her own desires… somewhere beyond right and wrong.
